Teacher and Leadership Programs (T&L) serves as the learning community and administrative umbrella for most of our School's undergraduate and graduate teacher preparation programs, as well as graduate preparation programs in school leadership and teacher education, and doctoral programs in teaching and curriculum, science and mathematics education, special education, and educational leadership.

The basic purpose of our teacher preparation programs is to prepare educators who are able and willing to promote the active learning of all students: to challenge and equip every student to meet the highest possible standards; to respect and empower students as individual learners; and to serve as principled leaders and advocates for students in their schools, communities, and profession.

The basic purpose of our programs in educational leadership is to prepare educators for leadership in schools where everyone-all young and all adults-continuously learn and support each other's learning.

The basic purpose of our doctoral programs is to prepare teacher educators to conduct scholarship in curriculum, instruction, and school leadership and to provide preserve and on-going professional development for teachers and leaders.
