Instructional Design, Development and Evaluation G'13
Hometown: Wuhan, China
Why did you choose the School of Education at SU?
I found the Instructional Design Program in the School of Education has a really good academic reputation in the U.S., with SU alumni working in major academia and corporations. Besides, SU generously offered me a multi-year fellowship that can support my study here.
What has been the most valuable learning experience in your time here?
The professors in my department really care about their students and are willing to work together when it comes to advising students. I am really grateful for working and studying with a professor who is not my advisor but is still willing to dedicate lots of her time to offer me plenty of useful advice and instruction off class regarding my ongoing research.
What are your plans for when you leave SU?
Working as a tenure-track faculty in an Instructional Science program of a research college/university in the U.S. or China.
What is a favorite memory of your SU School of Education experience?
Being able to get involved in various on-going projects lead by faculty in my department. I have a deeper understanding about the education systems here in the U.S, while exploring my own research interests with the focus on their applications in real-world problems.
