Undergraduate Degree Programs

The goal of our undergraduate and masters degree programs is to prepare educators who will gain and use knowledge of educational theories and research, technology, and subject content to promote active learning and excellence in all the students; work effectively and equitably with students with a variety of backgrounds and abilities; and develop their own theories of practice, reflect on and assess their own and their students’ work, and continually improve their practice.

The Department have a long history of working with local school districts to offer a number of different field experience in each of our initial preparation programs.  Most programs that are offered meet the academic requirements for New York State Teacher certification, and several other states with reciprocal agreements.
