Education Law Conference
The Education Law conferences provide opportunities for school personnel to keep abreast of significant developments in law in a variety of areas relevant to public schools. Prominent attorneys and administrators in the field of education law, or other fields that have an impact on education, give valuable insights, as well as comprehensive reviews of current laws to assist education decision makers. The Council encourages school board members, superintendents, other administrators, school attorneys, school counselors and higher education faculty, and graduate students to hear about and discuss the application of law to educational issues at this conference.
In the tradition of the Study Council at SU, the Annual Education Law Conference:
• Prepares school personnel to stay ahead of current legal developments relevant to
public schools
• Shares insights of prominent attorneys and administrators in the field of education law
and related fields that impact highly on education today
• Reviews comprehensively current laws to better inform education decision makers
• Brings superintendents, school administrators, school attorneys, school counselors
and school board members together with legal experts to discuss hands on
application of the law to educational issues
